Evolution Gaming Expands Live Casino Studios in Canada

A New Studio for the Canadian Market

Evolution Gaming, the world's dominant live casino provider, has officially opened a new purpose-built studio facility in Ontario, Canada. The studio will serve the rapidly growing Canadian regulated iGaming market with dedicated live dealer tables hosted by locally hired dealers.

The Ontario studio represents Evolution's first dedicated North American facility outside of its existing operations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company cited the explosive growth of Ontario's regulated market — which generated over $2 billion in revenue in 2025 — as the primary driver behind the expansion.

What the New Studio Offers

The facility will initially host 40 live tables across blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and Evolution's popular game show titles including Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette, and Monopoly Live. The studio has been designed with expansion capacity to double its table count within the next 18 months.

A key differentiator of the Canadian studio is the availability of bilingual dealers fluent in both English and French, catering to the linguistic diversity of the Canadian market. Several tables will operate exclusively in French during peak hours to serve Quebec-based players at operators that offer cross-provincial services.

Benefits for Canadian Players

Canadian players can expect lower latency and smoother streaming quality from the locally hosted studio, as the video feeds no longer need to travel from Evolution's European or Asian facilities. The local hosting also means table operating hours will be optimised for North American time zones, with peak coverage during Canadian evening hours.

Evolution has also confirmed that the new studio will debut several Canada-exclusive game variants, including a hockey-themed game show title scheduled for launch in Q4 2026, developed in consultation with Canadian operators to reflect local entertainment preferences.

Industry Implications

Evolution's investment signals strong confidence in the long-term growth potential of Canada's regulated iGaming market. The move is expected to put pressure on competing live casino providers to establish their own North American operations or risk falling behind in a market where local presence increasingly matters.

For Ontario's economy, the studio creates approximately 500 direct jobs, from dealers and floor managers to technical staff and customer support agents. The Ontario government has highlighted the studio as an example of the economic benefits delivered by its regulated iGaming framework.
